Meet Our Executive Board
The President
David Smith is going to be a senior at Purdue University this fall, majoring in Construction Management. He caddied at Olympia Fields Country Club. He served as part of the assistant vice president of finance in the past, and is involved on campus as a vice president of the mechanical contractors association at Purdue. Furthermore, he has interned for RK Mechanical in Denver, Colorado, and Norcon, Inc. in Chicago. David is in charge of helping the house run smoothly by communicating with the rest of the executive board, faculty adviser, and the Western Golf Association. |
New Scholar Educator
David Krebs is going to be a senior at Purdue University this fall, majoring in Movement and Sports Science, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. He caddied at Ridgemoor Country Club and attended St. Patrick High School. He served as part of the executive board in the fall of 2016 as the VPC, and is involved on campus as a member of the Occupational Therapist/ Physical Therapist Club. This summer, David Krebs is doing a summer international internship for OneFit. David is in charge of running the New Scholar program, and acting as a mentor to help ease the transition for new scholars from high school into college. |
Executive Vice President
Samantha McLeish is going to be a junior at Purdue University this fall, majoring in Movement and Sport Sciences with a concentration in Occupational Therapy. She caddied at Orchard Ridge Country Club and attended Bishop Dwenger High School. She served as part of the traditions commitee in the fall of 2016, and is involved on campus as a member of the Occupational Therapy/ Physical Therapy club. Samantha is in charge of planning house philanthropies, and organizing family/ mom's /dad's Day. |
Administrative Vice President
Lenny Chocholek is going to be a senior at Purdue University this fall, majoring in Construction Management. He caddied at Briar Ridge Country Club and attended Bishop Noll Institute. He served as the AVP in the fall of 2016 as well, and he was the academics chair at the Purdue Evans Scholar house in 2015. Currently he is interning for Pepper Construction in Chicago, and prior to that he interned for Williams Company in Orlando. He's involved at Purdue in the Associated General Contractors, Mechanical Contractors Association, Sigma Lamba Chi(Construction Management Honors Society), Chi Omega waiter, and he's also a Purdue Baseball manager. Lenny is in charge of maintaining the house in clean and working conditions. |
Vice President of Finance
Ashton Knies is going to be a junior at Purdue University this fall, majoring in Mathematics Education. She caddied at French Lick Resort and attended Northeast Dubois High School. She served as the ANSE in the fall of 2016. Furthermore, she works as a waiter at Zeta Tau Alpha, as well as is involved in the Math Ed Club at Purdue. Ashton is in charge of keeping the finance of the house. |
Vice President of Communications Biridiana Guerrero is going to be a junior this fall, majoring in Construction Management. She caddied at North Shore Country Club and attended The Loomis Chaffee School. She served as the social chair in 2016. Currently she is interning for Bulley & Andrews this summer, and caddying on the weekends. She interned for Bulley & Andrews last summer as well. Furthermore, she works as a waiter at Zeta Tau Alpha, and volunteers at Natalie's Second Chance Animal Shelter. Biri is in charge of maintaining the social media, and communicating with the house about events and important information. |
Meet our Resident Adviser
Frank Vandeputte was a Purdue Evans Scholars for four years. He attended Bishop Dwenger High School and caddied at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. During his junior year of college, Frank changed his major to public relations and strategic communication. As a result, he will be graduating in 5 years rather than 4. Frank has held the position of Assistant New Scholar Educator, and assistant treasurer in the house, as well as worked as a student manager for the Purdue baseball team for 1.5 years. This summer he will be working as an intern for the Cincinnati Reds. Frank will be the Resident Adviser for the 2017-2018 school year at the Purdue Evans Scholars house. |
Meet Our Faculty Adviser
Leslie Charters graduated from Western Kentucky University for her undergraduate degree, and from Valparaiso University School of Law graduate in 2009. She worked as a public defender in the Tippecanoe County Public Defender's Office, and before that, she was a Tippecanoe County deputy prosecutor. Currently she works for Purdue's student legal services office, and helps the Western Golf Association in facilitating the living of the Purdue Evans Scholars. Leslie acts as a mentor to the scholars in the house, and is always available to meet with the Purdue Scholars.
